The Corratistune Rose, The Quiet House

This air comes from the pen of John McManus; his wife Valerie wrote words to the melody which is named after her home townland in Kinawley.
Longford accordion player Peter Carberry gave me the hornpipe during a visit to his home in 2011. It is a composition of whistle-player Noreen O'Sullivan, a member of the well-known Gavin family from Corraundulla, Co. Galway.
